Meet the Designer
Lauren “L” Mehl is from New Baltimore, and now lives in Detroit, MI.
They graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 2025, majoring in Communication Design.
They first moved to Detroit in 2021 for the beginning of the most formative years of their life, where they learned how to think, explore, and create alongside fellow creatives with similar goals. They always had a passion for video games and the broader digital world, and found design to be the perfect middle ground between interacting with art and technology.
Building strong relationships with fellow designers and gaining several amazing friends, they officially moved out of the dorms and into the suburbs of Detroit in 2024, where they could begin to build their identity outside of CCS, and work to design for the community that accepted them just years ago.

I will be here for the foreseeable next year (2025-2026).
